Design Coordination & Clash Review
Prior to commencing detailing, we review the architectural and structural drawings for LGS coordination issues. Common items include header depth conflicts with floor-to-ceiling height requirements, stud spacing incompatibilities with cladding or lining module, opening framing requirements not reflected in the architectural set, and bearing conditions at cassette ends that require specific detailing. These are raised with the relevant parties before drawing preparation begins rather than resolved unilaterally during detailing.
Panel Layout & Identification
Each wall panel, floor cassette, and roof truss is assigned a unique mark number that appears on both the individual drawing sheet and the erection plan. Panel orientation, storey level, and gridline references are consistent across all drawing sheets. Where panels are mirrored or repeated, this is noted on the drawing with a clear indication of the reference panel.
Member and Fastener Detailing
Stud and track sections are identified by section designation and BMT on each panel drawing. Screw patterns at stud-to-track connections, web stiffener locations, and strap tie positions are dimensioned and specified. Opening framing details including king and jack stud quantities and header section designation are shown on the panel elevation. Non-standard details are drawn separately and cross-referenced from the panel sheet.
Drawing Issue
Drawings are issued in PDF for approval and DXF/DWG for fabrication use. Where the fabricator’s roll-forming software supports direct import, we can structure the DXF output to suit. Drawings carry a revision register, drawing status (e.g. Issued for Review, Approved for Fabrication), and the issuing engineer’s details.
